IIUM SIGNS MOA WITH IRTI TO ORGANIZE ECONOMIC INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

IIUM INKS MOA WITH IRTI
IIUM’s Kuliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), Jeddah to organise the 2nd International Conference on Islamic Economies of OIC Countries (ICIE2) in January 2013. The Conference will be held at the Le Meridien, Kuala Lumpur.
The MoA signing ceremony took place at the Banquet Hall, IIUM Gombak Campus on 29th August 2012. IIUM was represented by its Rector Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin, while IRTI by its Managing Director Prof. Dato’ Mohd Azmi Omar.
The theme for the 2013 conference is “Islamic Economic Solutions for OIC Countries: Theory and Policy”. The co-organizers are IRTI, and Ministry of Finance Malaysia, while partner universities are Faculty of Political Science, University of Medeniyet, Turkey, Faculty of Economics and Management, Bogor Agricultural University College of Business Administration, and University of Kuwait.
