2nd place MAHA 2020 (Mahallah Sejahtera Award)

Mahallah Sejahtera Award or previously known as Mahallah Award is an award that has been contested in conjuntion with IIUM Takrim Day or formally known as Quality Day which is an annual event to honour remarkable achievement of the University community. This award was contested to celebrate and appreciate students as well as staff’s contributions and achievements in the university’s curriculum throughout the year where the mahallahs were credited and awarded for their hard work, contributions and determinations. The best mahallah will be chosen by a special committee based on a number of criteria such as documentation, and conduct of students activities to name a few. The other determining criteria towards the selection of the best mahallah is also a presentation by the mahallah’s party.Mahallah Sumayyah has been awarded with 2nd place in this award for two years in a row which are 2019 and 2020. We are delighted and looking forward to contest in this award again in the future.

Consolation Prize Environmental Sustainability Award (Mahallah)

IIUM has made history as the first university in Malaysia to receive an International Green Gown Award for the 2020 Best Sustainable Institution category. This award recognises exceptional sustainable initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges across the world. It is endorsed by United Nation Environment and supported by The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), L'Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), The Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI) and International Association of Universities (IAU). In conjunction with IIUM Takrim day 2020, Mahallah Sumayyah has been awarded with consolation prize in Environmental Sustainability Award in Mahallah Category. This award has been given by Rector of IIUM, Prof Emeritus Tan Sri Daato' Dzulkifli Abdul Razak. We are delighted and looking forward to achieve more awards in the future.
