KICT Garden

The KICT Garden is a project that has started since the month of March 2019.
Situated at the right side of the Kulliyah building, the garden was initially comprised of four raised beds. Later three more raised beds are added to accommodate more plant varieties. By adopting the raised bed approach, it makes it easier to manage and requires minimal labor intensive work such as digging and plowing the soil. Filling the raised beds with nutrient rich soil ensures healthy plants and good harvest. The whole garden has been easy to maintain since the raised beds endures the weeds kept at the minimal.
The plants include fruity and leafy vegetables, herbs and spices.
As a whole, the garden has contributed multiple dimensions of learning and experience for the staff members as well as the student volunteers.
