ABOUT US

Centre for Arts & Cultural Sustainable Development or known as CiTRA is a unit that focuses on the development of performing arts and culture. The establishment of CiTRA CFS IIUM aims to promote the beauty of local and international cultures, imbued with Islamic elements and values. The presentation of various elements of arts that combine both modern and traditional performing arts makes CiTRA has its own unique identity in IIUM.

Our focus are;

• Recruiting & training - talent management

• Promoting arts & culture in accordance to Islamic values

• Organising events on arts & culture

• Organising Intellectual discourse on arts & culture

• Performing for various events in CFS IIUM

• Unearthing new talents among CFS IIUM community

CiTRA CFS IIUM consists of six (6) units which represent each talent namely;

1. Bureau of Live Band - singing and modern music instruments

2. Bureau of Nasyid - Islamic singing and music percussion

3. Bureau of Theatre - acting and performing arts

4. Bureau of Dance - dancing and body movement
