A one day educational visit from Delegation of AlJouf University and Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia Cultural Mission Kuala Lumpur to IIUM Gombak Campus. The delegation that consists of Dr. Hazaa Abdulkarem, Dean of Student Affairs, 2 Administration staff of deanship affairs and 14 students from various field. IIUM Library, INHART, KIRKHS and KOE are some of the places that they visit during their one day trip at IIUM Gombak Campus.

Ameer Ali bin Mydin, he managing director of Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad. During the event, Datuk Wira Ameer Ali shared his lifelong experiences, the rise of Mydin, and explain challenges that must be tackled by the future enterpreneur or businessperson to the attending students and staff.

A two days seminar & workshop on Cyber Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance & Data Forensic is a collaboration between IIUM, Kembara Impian Technologies Sdn Bhd and also Polaris Technology. The purpose of this seminar is to roughly share ideas and information on the constantly evolving technologies of the very dynamic demand in CyberWar technology and ISR environment and the required training and human resources development. Speaker from Changsha BeiDou Open Laboratory, Changsha Matrix Electronic, Nanjing Sinovatio Technology & Xiamen Meiya Pico came and share their newest technologies regarding the cybersecurity.
NATIONAL COLLOQUIUM ON REDESIGNING A HIGHER EDUCATION 2017: EMPOWERING A QUADRUPLE HELIX ECOSYSTEM

Office of Industrial Links, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), organized a National Colloquium on Redesigning Higher Education: Empowering a Quadruple Helix Ecosystem 2017, jointly organized by Jemaah TNC Jaringan Industri Universiti Awam, and Bahagian Hubungan Industri, Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi, Malaysia on 10th October 2017.The National Colloquium on Redesigning Higher Education: Empowering a Quadruple Helix Ecosystem 2017 serves as an avenue to hold a discourse on the parallels of the government policies particularly those relevant to Higher Education to support the cultivation of an ecosystem of Quadruple Helix in Higher Learning Institution. Among the discourses held were Industry 4.0, Quaruple Helix Model, MEB, NBOS, and Translational Outcomes. Those discourses are in fact crucial to better understand the challenges in the whole nexus of redesigning higher education.

Office of Industrial Links in collaboration with Small Medium Entrepreneurship (SME) Corporation organising the SME-University Internship Programme for the 6th year. This programme organised to develop and nurture selected IIUM students with entrepreneurial skills in order to promote self-employment. To achieve this, students will be attached to SME around Kuala Lumpur as a junior consultant for three months beginning September to November 2017. For this year, 20 students participate in the programme and they attached to four (4) different companies.

If you could run a project to improve the Malaysian environment, what would it be?
Alliance Bank Eco-Biz Dream Project 2 is back! This competition is designed to provide an engaging platform to enlist, nurture and generate initiatives aimed at improving or preserving environmental conditions among university students. The initiative is a part of Alliance Bank CSR aims to raise awareness on the state of Malaysian environment and importance of saving it. Three team from IIUM made it to the Top 10 and they swept away the 1st and 2nd place from various IPTS and IPTA that participate in this competition.
