Second (2nd) KAICIID International Fellows Programme (KIFP);

Religious Leaders as Practitioners of Interreligious Dialogue

The King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID) is pleased to announce its call for the Second KAICIID International Fellows Programme (KIFP); Religious Leaders as Practitioners of Interreligious Dialogue. Set to commence in December 2015, the fellows programme will foster and develop the abilities of teachers to promote interreligious dialogue education and practice within their respective institutions.

KAICIID will select twenty fellows from the world’s major education centers for Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism that train future religious leaders, to participate in this fellows programme. In its first edition, KIFP selected 20 Fellows from 16 countries, representing the world major religions

(meet KAICIID Fellows 2015: http://www.kaiciid.org/de/2015-2016-kaiciid-fellows).

Over the course of one year, selected fellows will participate in a series of in-person and online trainings related to interreligious dialogue, coexistence, and pluralism. This integrated learning process will provide fellows with an initial framework to facilitate subsequent trainings and programming within their home institutions. Selected applicants will also develop and implement small-scale local and international projects during the course of the programme, and will further organize and attend dialogues, lectures, field visits and conferences.

KAICIID was established to enable, empower and encourage dialogue among followers of different religions and cultures around the world. To work towards that vision, KAICIID aims to become a hub among followers of different religions and cultures, empowering others already working in the field of dialogue to promote harmony, cooperation and peace. The fellows program is thus one critical way that KAICIID is moving towards this goal.

Please feel free to contact Mr. Anas Alabbadi (anas.alabbadi@kaiciid.org), Programmes Officer, if you or anyone interested in this opportunity has further questions or concerns.
