Extended Deadline for YSN-ASM Chrysalis Award 2022 - 31 March 2022

Dear esteemed Fellows of the Academy,
 
Please be informed that the Young Scientists Network-Academy of Sciences Malaysia (YSN-ASM) Chrysalis Award 2022 closing date for applications submission has now been extended
from 16 March to 31 March 2022. We would like to call all Malaysian final year PhD students with research expertise that falls within (but not limited to) the following domains to apply for this Award:
 
•           Engineering Sciences
•           Medical and Health Sciences
•           Physical and Chemical Sciences
•           Biological, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences
•           Science and Technology Development Industry
•           Social Science and Humanities
 
The Award aim to identify and nurture promising PhD candidates to be the future pillars of our science, technology, innovation and economic (STIE) ecosystem. Selected YSN-ASM Chrysalis
Award finalists will experience continuous support and mentoring for the next five years after the programme. This step ensures that these finalists are empowered to be outstanding researchers
who will contribute to Malaysia’s STIE ecosystem. In recognition of their talents, top three winners will be awarded RM 10,000 cash prizes (in total) for their professional development.
Suitable candidates will also be recommended to prestigious fellowships or internships in reputable institutions and establishments.
 
All applicants are required to submit the following documents to the organiser via https://forms.gle/Rw6GQQ5v1grUqS7z5 by 31 March 2022 (Thursday):
  1. A4-sized research poster
  2. 200 words motivational essay
  3. latest curriculum vitae and
  4. passport size photo
 
Selected finalists will have the opportunity to be mentored by YSN-ASM members. They will be evaluated in a series of virtual workshops and pitch presentation during the Chrysalis Award
