Please be informed that the Ministry of Higher Education is offering the Post-COVID-19 Special Research Grant to all Researchers of the Public Universities and Private Institutions of Higher Learning. Interested Researchers are to conduct research on critical areas that are in close association with the community in dealing with the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic This short-term research grant is the ministry's effort in providing a source of reference to the Government and especially the relevant ministries, in preparing and formulating policies in facing the scenario after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Among the areas for research that are identified closely related to the community in dealing with the realities after the Movement Control (CPP) Order ends is the impact on the economy, public health, safety, tourism, trade, information technology, education and food security:

ii.         Kesan terhadap Perubatan dan Kesihatan (Impact on Medical and Health)

iii.        Kesan terhadap Sosial dan Komuniti (Impact on Social and Community)

v.          Kesan terhadap Sektor Insurans (Impact on Insurance Sector)

vi.        Kesan terhadap Persempadanan dan Keselamatan Negara (Impact on Border and National Security)

vii.       Kesan terhadap Pekerjaan dan Tenaga Kerja (Impact on Employment and Labour)

viii.      Kesan terhadap Pendidikan dan Pengajian Tinggi (Impact on Education and Higher Education)

ix.        Kesan terhadap Perdagangan dan Perniagaan (Impact on Trade and Business)

x.         Kesan terhadap Kerajaan Tempatan (Impact on Local Government)

 The Post-COVID-19 Special Research Grant will be opened from April 15, 2020 to April 30, 2020. Accordingly, please  take note of the following:

 Terms of application and financial regulations should be referenced in the * COVID-19 Special Research Grant Guidelines included. 

 Principal Investigator/Team Leader must be MALAYSIAN and must have completed a competitive grant successfully prior to this application.  

 Applications must be subject to internal review with * a minimum of a panel of professors in the field of related expertise. * Panel reviews and evidence of corrective action taken should also be included.
